Collection Management Interest Group
Purpose:
In the changing landscape of acquiring, maintaining and providing access to our materials, it is important to share knowledge and work together to solve the many problems facing libraries and librarians. This interest group strives to facilitate sharing of ideas and information among its members regarding practical methodologies and challenges in the broad area of collection management. In the past the group has held panel discussions on the difficulty in identifying and accessing grey literature, including extension publications. All material formats and the related tangential topics are now considered, including but not limited to electronic journal licensing, shared cataloging, consortial agreements, open access, and archiving. The focus and amount of discussion is based upon member input and expressions of interest.
